「編程隨想」入獄二載

两年了。2021 年 5 月 10 日，中國互聯網上一個富有傳奇色彩的匿名博客「編程隨想」突然停止更新，同日，其幕後主理人阮曉寰被上海警方帶走。這位被譽為「翻牆教主」、「偉大的啟蒙者」的技術專家，於 2023 年 2 月被以「煽動顛覆國家政權罪」判處七年徒刑。如今，两年囹圄，他的博客及其故事依然在牆內外激起波瀾。

It has been two years. On 10 May 2021, the legendary anonymous blog “Program-Think” suddenly stopped updating. That same day, its creator, Ruan Xiaohuan, was taken away by Shanghai police. Known as the “Godfather of bypass the GFW” and “a great enlightener,” this tech expert was sentenced in February 2023 to seven years in prison for “inciting subversion of state power.” Now, after two years behind bars, his blog and the story behind it continue to stir waves both inside and outside the Great Firewall.

「編程隨想」自 2009 年開博十二載，發佈了七百多篇博文，內容從網絡技術、信息安全、翻牆教程，到歷史、政治、心理學，包羅萬象。他深入分析時事，普及批判性思維和獨立思考方法，甚至整理揭露中共高層的財富關係網。他的文章風格獨特，理性客觀又帶有反諷和戲謔。他不僅傳授技術，更試圖啟蒙民智，鼓勵人們突破信息繭房，尋求真實信息。這在嚴密管制的中國網絡環境下，無疑是對當局的直接挑戰。

Since its launch in 2009, “Program-Think” published over 700 blog posts over twelve years, covering a wide range of topics—from internet technology, information security, and anti-censorship tutorials to history, politics, and psychology. He provided in-depth analysis of current affairs, promoted critical thinking and independent reasoning, and even compiled exposés on the wealth networks of senior Chinese Communist Party officials. His writing style was distinctive—rational and objective, yet laced with irony and satire. He didn’t just teach technical skills; he also sought to enlighten the public, encouraging people to break out of their information bubbles and seek the truth. In China’s tightly controlled online environment, this was undoubtedly a direct challenge to the authorities.

阮曉寰的妻子貝震穎在丈夫被捕一年多、一審判決後才偶然發現他就是「編程隨想」。在警方搜查、丈夫被帶走時，她完全不知情。一審判決書中未提及博客名稱或具體「煽顛」言論證據，令她深感質疑。親見丈夫在庭上形容枯槁、白髮蒼蒼的樣子，她決定公開為他奔走呼籲。從一個「歲月靜好」的普通人，她開始學習翻牆，接受採訪，並在 Twitter 上發聲，尋求社會關注和法律援助。她的抗爭引發了海內外許多關注者和人權律師的支持，但也讓她自己面臨巨大的壓力，甚至一度與外界失聯。

Ruan Xiaohuan’s wife, Bei Zhenying, only discovered by chance—over a year after her husband’s arrest and following his first trial verdict—that he was the person behind “Program-Think.” She had been completely unaware during the police search and when her husband was taken away. The first-instance judgment made no mention of the blog’s name or any specific evidence of “inciting subversion,” which left her deeply doubtful of the case. Seeing her husband in court—emaciated and with greying hair—she decided to speak out publicly on his behalf. Once an ordinary person living a quiet life, she began learning to bypass the Great Firewall, gave media interviews, and used Twitter to raise awareness and seek legal support. Her efforts drew attention and support from both domestic and international activists and human rights lawyers, but also subjected her to immense pressure. At one point, she even lost contact with the outside world.

貝女士筆下的阮曉寰，並非刻板印象中的異議人士，而是一個高度理想化、單純且熱愛科學的人。他曾是 2008 年北京奧運會信息安全系統的總架構師，但並非體制內人士，甚至沒有大學文憑，對名利極為淡泊。他崇尚自由和開源精神，這或許是他最終走上這條道路的內在驅動力。他將寫博客視為一種實現人生價值、將思想傳承下去的方式。

The Ruan Xiaohuan portrayed in Ms. Bei’s writings is not the stereotypical image of a dissident, but rather a highly idealistic, pure-hearted individual with a deep love for science. He once served as the chief architect of the information security system for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, yet he was not part of the establishment and did not even hold a university degree. He was indifferent to fame and wealth. Ruan believed in freedom and the spirit of open source—values that may have been the inner driving force behind the path he ultimately chose. For him, writing the blog was a way to realise his life’s purpose and pass on his ideas to others.

然而，在中國日益強化的監控技術下，即便如「編程隨想」這般謹慎和技術高超，最終也未能倖免。他的被捕和重判，對許多利用技術規避審查的網民造成寒蟬效應。同時，他的故事也激勵著人們，體現了在極權環境下，獨立思想和抵抗精神的難能可貴。

However, under China’s increasingly sophisticated surveillance apparatus, even someone as cautious and technically skilled as “Program-Think” was ultimately not spared. His arrest and harsh sentencing have had a chilling effect on many internet users who rely on technology to circumvent censorship. At the same time, his story continues to inspire others, embodying the rare courage of independent thought and the spirit of resistance under an authoritarian regime.

两年過去，阮曉寰案的二審進程仍充滿未知。但「編程隨想」留下的如何獲取、甄別信息以及獨立思考的理念，已成為一份重要的遺產，持續影響著願意在網絡長城下尋求真實和自由的人們。這場技術與思想的較量，遠未結束。

Two years have passed, yet the progress of Ruan Xiaohuan’s appeal remains uncertain. However, the principles that “Program-Think” left behind—how to access and verify information, and how to think independently—have become an important legacy. They continue to influence those who are willing to seek truth and freedom beneath the Great Firewall. This struggle between technology and thought is far from over.
